Conversion FAQ

Has all my league info and league history been transferred over?

Yes!  All league info, scoring rules, league history, league logo’s, team logo’s, commish notes and even message board posts have been transferred over from Fantasy Commissioner Web to RealTime Fantasy Sports.  Nothing was left behind.

Has all my league info been correctly transferred over?

While we have spent a great amount of time making sure all the league info from the thousands of leagues has been transferred correctly, including spot checking many leagues, we encourage each league to “double-check” that their league rules have been transferred over correctly.  To check your scoring system, go to Reports -> Top Players and you can see the fantasy points for each player based on the 2009 stats.  Please note you may see minor differences in the fantasy points of a few players due to stat changes that occurred after each Monday (see the next question below).  If you find any issues, please contact support at support@rtsports.com or 636-447-1170 and we will fix your league right away.

Does the new site use the same official stat deadline?

The new site improves on this by having a later official stat deadline.  Where we considered all the stats official by Monday at midnight, the new site extends that to the following Friday at noon.  So if there are any official stat changes by the NFL during the week after the games end, the new site will automatically adjust the stats and automatically recalculate the fantasy points and all the results.  They even list all the official stat changes at RTSports -> Alerts.  Note that this will cause the 2009 fantasy points on the new site to have minor differences for a  few players compared to the old site.

How do I access the new site?

Login just like you did last season: go to http://www.webleaguemanager.com/login.asp and enter your username and password.  You will then be re-directed to the new site.

Where do I find a certain features on the new site?

We have created a conversion guide that makes it real easy.  It lists each screen and report that existed on the old site, the menu item to get there, and the menu item on the new site to access the equivalent screen and report.  You can find the guide here: http://www.webleaguemanager.com/conversionguide.html

What is the cost?

It is 10% cheaper if you order by August 15th ($80.95) and in 2011, it will be 20% cheaper if ordered by June 30th ($71.95).

Does the new site have all the same features?

Yes!  With a few minor exceptions listed below, every feature on the old site is available on the new site, and in fact, they have over 70 enhancements!  The new features are listed at http://www.webleaguemanager.com/web2010.html

What are the minor features that are not on the new site?

-         The old site separated interception return TDs and defensive fumble recovery TDs.  The new site lumps them together into one “Defensive TD” category.  This will only be an issue if you give different points for these two scores

-         The old site separated blocked FG TDs and blocked punt TDs.  The new site lumps them together into one “Defensive special teams TD” category.  This will only be an issue if you give different points for these two scores

-         The old site had an “Offensive fumble recovery TD” category.  The new site considers that to be a rushing TD.  This will only be an issue if you give different points for these two scores

-         The old site had the categories “TEAM – Punt+Kickoff+Int Return yds”, “TEAM – Return Yards Allowed”, “TEAM – Rushes Against”, “TEAM – Passes Completed Against” and “TEAM – Passes Attempted Against”.  The new site does not have those categories.  These categories were only used by a handful of leagues

-         If you use Incremental scoring, choose no decimals, and choose “Always Round Up” or “Normal Rounding”, the new site will not round up or do normal rounding.  Instead it will always round down.  Only a handful of leagues used this.  But you can modify the scoring system in the new site to accommodate this

-         A few reports are not currently supported.  However, Realtime Fantasy Sports is committed to adding most, if not all, of these reports by the end of the 2010 season

-         You can only give or subtract points for a win or loss to the head coach position

-         You can’t subtract points for passing attempts

Who do I contact if I have questions?

Can you tell me about this new company, RealTime Fantasy Sports?

RealTime Fantasy Sports (http://www.rtsports.com), headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., is a top fantasy football provider. The 2010 football season will be the 16th year RealTime Fantasy Sports provides the most comprehensive fantasy football commissioner service around. RealTime Fantasy Sports also has unique content, extensive player notes, video updates and a free draft guide. RealTime Fantasy Sports is a one-stop shop for all your fantasy football needs.

Why are you transferring all your leagues to RealTime Fantasy Sports?

We sent an email out to all commissioners notifying them on the change and explaining the reasons.  A copy of that email can be found at http://www.webleaguemanager.com/partnership.html

How can I be sure the calculation of the fantasy points will work correctly?

For each league that we transferred over, we used the stats from last season and calculated the fantasy points on the new site, and compared the results to the old site.  Any discrepancies were corrected and we are confident your fantasy points for the upcoming season will calculate 100% correctly.

Can you explain the differences between the sites regarding free agent pickups?

The new site supports the same three ways of picking up free agents as the old site: First-come, first-served (FCFS), waiver wire, and commissioner approval.  However, in the new site the commissioner approval works a little differently.  For those leagues that were set to commissioner approval on the old site: Your league will be set to use a waiver wire, and the option to award free agent waiver wire pickups will be set to "Blind Bidding with Bids Only. Commissioner Awards Players".  Each owner should go to the Waiver Wire screen and choose the players they want to pick up and they should use a bid of $0.  When the waiver wire runs, it will not actually award the players to the teams.  Instead, the Waiver Wire report will show all the requests to the commissioner, and the commissioner would then need to use the add/drop screen to do the transactions.  The waiver wire will run at the time specified on the “Add/Drop Deadline” on the old site (exception: if you had set this deadline to Sunday, it will be switched to Saturday).

For those leagues using commissioner approval, we strongly recommend you take a look at how the waiver wire works and switch to that instead.  If will save the commissioner a lot of time and take the commissioner “out of the loop” so transactions can be done without the commissioner having to intervene in the process.  The new site has a lot more features in the waiver wire than the old site.  It is explained via this link:

http://faq.rtsports.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=15&id=78&artlang=en

Can you explain how the waiver wire works on the new site?

The new site has additional features, and they are explained here: http://faq.rtsports.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=15&id=78&artlang=en

How does the Defensive Team and Special Team work on the new site?

It works a little different than the old site.  Go to Commissioner -> Manage League -> Rosters and make sure the question “Does your league use a defense, special team, neither, or both?” is set correctly.  If your league uses the scoring category dealing with points allowed or points allowed by defensive, make sure to read this: http://faq.rtsports.com/faq/index.php?solution_id=1046

Does RealTime Fantasy Sports have their own FAQ page?

Yes, it is at http://faq.rtsports.com/faq/index.php

What about if I have already paid for Fantasy Commissioner Web?

If you have already paid, your league on the new site should already be marked as paid (please email us at support@rtsports.com if it has not), and because the price is 10% cheaper, your credit card has been refunded that amount.

Is it possible to login to the old site to check something out?

Yes, you can do that via this link: http://www.webleaguemanager.com/loginOldSite.asp

How can the commish write a message to appear on the leagues home page?

The Commissioner can use the Talk -> From Commish page and this will signal all the team owners that they have a commissioner note to read.  Once they read it, the alert goes away but they can still access the note from the Talk -> From Commish page.  If the commish wants something to stay on the home page, he can use the Message Board and sticky the message or use the League -> News function.

How can I view my leagues scores or change my starting lineup on a mobile phone?

Just go to the mobile site at http://mobile.rtsports.com.  You will need to login with your username and password.

What is the difference between the Gold service I have and the Platinum service?

It is explained here: http://www.rtsports.com/htm/comparison.shtml

Can I change the color scheme on the site if I don't like it?

Yes. Your commissioner can switch it by going to the menu item Commissioner -> Manage League -> League Identity and changing the “League Theme”.

How can I view reports from previous years, which were available on the archives page on the old site?

All the reports from previous years where converted to the new site and are available from the menu League -> Archive

How can I customize my leagues home page?

You can use the Team -> Preferences page and add components such as your roster, league message board, latest transactions, etc. to your league home page. You will then see them when you login. You can also remove components from the homepage to have less clutter if you wish. Also, you can click and drag any of the sections on the home page and move them around to your liking

Our league logo had been reduced on the league home page. How can I display it in its normal size?

Make a message board post with the logo and "stick" it to the top of the board. Then put the message board at the top center of the home page (see the above question on customizing your leagues home page).

On the League By-Laws page, I am unable to change the rules. How can I change them?

To fix this, go to the Team -> Preferences page and check the box for "Use Plain Text Editor". Then you will be able to change the rules.

I have user that has forgot their login information. How can I see their username and password?

The commissioner can't see the username or password of the owners, but each owner can retrieve their username and password via the page http://www.rtsports.com/lost-password. They can enter their email address to retrieve both the username and password
