Help Web Browser Configuration

Fantasy Commissioner Web will work with any browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, WebTV). We try and make all the screens appear the same, no matter which browser you are using. However, because of the many differences in the browsers, it is impossible to make each screen appear exactly the same in each browser. With that in mind, we have chosen to make the screens appear perfect on the most popular browser, Internet Explorer. However, the screens in other web browsers will still appear fine, except for a few minor differences here and there. So if at all possible, use Internet Explorer as your browser. Please note that you must have "cookies" enabled on your browser in order for Fantasy Commissioner Web to work.

If you receive a "You are unable to login because you have 'cookies' disabled on your browser" message when trying to log in, this means that you have "cookies" disabled on your browser. Fantasy Commissioner Web will not work unless you enable cookies. To do this, make the following changes depending on the browser you are using to fix this problem:

Internet Explorer 5.5 or earlier: On the Internet Explorer menu, click 'Tools', then click 'Internet Options'. Click the 'Security' tab. Click the 'Custom Level' button. Scroll down to the 'Allow cookies that are stored on your computer' option and select Enable. Click the 'OK' button and click the 'Yes' button when at the prompt 'Are you sure you want to change the security settings for this zone?'. Then hit the OK button.

Internet Explorer 6.0 or later: On the Internet Explorer menu, click 'Tools', then click 'Internet Options'. Click the 'Privacy' tab. On the 'Web Sites' section on the bottom, click the 'Edit' button and enter http://www.webleaguemanager.com and click the 'Allow' button. Then click the 'OK' button, and then click the 'OK' button once again.

On the Netscape menu, click 'Edit', then click 'Preferences'. Click on the 'Advanced' category. In the 'Cookies' section, change it to 'Accept all cookies'.

Also, make sure to turn off any third party programs or control panels that automatically reject cookies.

Then exit all browsers and open one browser and go back to the Team Login page to login.

If you still receive the message, then make the following changes depending on the browser you are using to fix this problem:
On the Internet Explorer menu, click "Tools", then click "Internet Options". Under "Temporary Internet Files", click the "Delete Files..." button.

On the Netscape menu, click "Edit", then click "Preferences". Expand the "Advanced" category and select "Cache". Click the "Clear Disk Cache" button.

Finally, if none of these option work, check the date/time on your computer and make sure it is correct.

If none of these solve the problem, it could be that you have a corrupt cookie. To fix this, go to Fix Cookie and then go back to the Team Login page to login.

If you receive a "Login Expired" message when trying to log in, make the following changes depending on the browser you are using to fix this problem

On the Internet Explorer menu, click "Tools", then click "Internet Options". Under "Temporary Internet Files", click the "Settings" button. On the option "Check for newer versions of stored pages", change it to "Every visit to the page".

On the Netscape menu, click "Edit", then click "Preferences". Expand the "Advanced" category and select "Cache". Change the "Document in cache is compared to document on network" to "Every time".

Then exit all of your browsers, open one browser, and try to login.

If you find that screens are not updating after you make a change (for example, you change a rule on the League Rules screen and hit the Save button, but the old value of the rule still appears), make the following changes depending on the browser you are using to fix this problem:

On the Internet Explorer menu, click "Tools", then click "Internet Options". Under "Temporary Internet Files", click the "Settings" button. On the option "Check for newer versions of stored pages", change it to "Every visit to the page".

On the Netscape menu, click "Edit", then click "Preferences". Expand the "Advanced" category and select "Cache". Change the "Document in cache is compared to document on network" to "Every time".

If you are printing out the reports, and want the report to print on less pages, or if some text is getting cutoff, make the following changes depending on the browser you are using to fix this problem:

In Internet Explorer, click "File", then click "Page Setup". Go to the "Margins" box, and change the Left, Right, Top, and Bottom margins to 0.2 and then print the report.

On the Netscape menu, click "File", then click "Page Setup". Go to the "Margins" box, and change the Left, Right, Top, and Bottom margins to 0.2 and then print the report.
